The re-arrangement of the office entrusted to us for Provident Polska S.A. covered the area of the entire 9th and 10th floors of the Gdański Business Center building. The client wanted the renovated spaces to respond to the various needs of the users and encourage integration, teamwork, and workshops, as well as enable maintaining close relationships with business partners. The main objectives of the project were therefore to create flexible, intuitive and functional interiors, in line with the principles of hybrid work, as well as with the idea of zero waste.
A particularly interesting, multi-functional space, located right at the entrance to the office, is the common area known as the ‘front of house’. It’s a lively place that is intended both for individual work, as well as for larger team meetings, and even for organizing corporate events. In the neighbourhood, employees can find coffee points and conference rooms bearing names (that stimulate the senses) after food and drink, such as a smoothie, caramel, chilli pepper, honey, crème brûlée, and latte.
Areas with employee desks use an open space formula, but from time to time between groups of desks there are glass walls with black muntins separating them. Often, desks from the communication route are also covered with openwork bookcases with plants. Closed rooms and telephone booths have been placed near each of the desk areas. They rely on glass walls, which make it easy to determine whether the space is in use or not. This solution also enables an unrestricted flow of daylight.
The design of the office interior is announced by the aforementioned front-of-house zone. We have kept the arrangement of the entire office in a warm and homely atmosphere – you can find here a lot of natural wood, neutral colours and soft furniture. As in our interior design of the Clariant office, the theme of art appeared in the Provident Polska S.A. headquarters. The names of the rooms and alleys are dedicated to outstanding artists and their works in the fields of painting, music or architecture. On the other hand, the paintings and graphics on the white walls come from the company’s own collection.
In line with the above-mentioned less waste concept, together with the company’s ambassadors, we chose furniture from the previous arrangement, which we gave new life to. Many armchairs and sofas were given fresh new upholstery that has been adapted to the design of the office. We also used potted plants from the previous arrangement, and what’s more, good ecological practices support waste segregation systems and effective and energy-saving management of office lighting.
The result of the metamorphosis is spaces tailored to the client’s needs. The refreshed interiors are modern, user-friendly and, above all, flexible, adapted to the new work model and the current needs of employees, so they can feel at ease and comfortable in them, as well as work as a team and maintain close relations with business partners.
