Allegro’s headquarters with an area of 24 700 m2 is located in building D of the Nowy Rynek complex in Poznań, on ten floors. It is a very complex and comprehensive project – there is an office for the daily work of various departments, a conference centre, a mailroom, a kindergarten for children, and even a call centre that occupies almost the entire floor.

The interiors of the entire office form a coherent whole with the external landscape because the inspiration for the arrangement motifs was the modern façade of the building in which the Allegro headquarters is located, as well as the characteristic doughnut-like circular open square inside the facility. Wooden rungs, characteristic of the office building structure, can be found in the welcome area on each floor of the Allegro office. In turn, we used organic forms and a circle, referring to the shape of the building’s patio, to design, among others, whiteboards, lighting, decorative acoustic elements or glazing, which have become the leitmotif of the Poznań office.

However, to distinguish the Poznań headquarters from other offices even more clearly, many finishing elements were designed under the slogans “known legends of the capital of Greater Poland” and “cosmos”. These references can be found in the office on hand-painted murals, photo wallpapers, in a conference centre or even in a kindergarten (e.g. a space rocket at the entrance).

The modern style of the office building implemented in the interiors, we decided to insulate with natural materials from local suppliers, numerous, vivid greenery and soft furniture, thanks to which we recalled the cosy and friendly atmosphere that the client wanted. And this is because the employees are accustomed to their home corners, where they worked during the pandemic.

The main functional assumptions of the project were to design flexible interiors, supporting cooperation and integration, adapted to the hybrid working model. There are many spaces for quiet work (phone booth), meeting rooms with high bar chairs for several people, amphitheatres and a conference centre with several halls, relaxation areas, a huge terrace, canteens or incredibly green jungle rooms.

Allegro also wanted individual departments to have their own spaces to work in but simultaneously feel unity with the other departments and parts of the office. To make this possible, we have designed many glazed areas that can be covered with curtains if you wish to separate yourself from the rest. For even better acoustics of the rooms, we have placed baffles on their ceilings that form organic shapes.

We paid a lot of attention to noise control throughout the project. The most demanding spaces were the call centre with its specially designed workstations, which take up almost the entire floor space, and the conference centre, whose ceiling is about 4.60 m high. However, thanks to various solutions, cooperation with acousticians and experience, these spaces are adequately prepared to fulfil their role.

Allegro’s office design is based on the principles of sustainable development and ESG. There are no plastic finishes here – they are all veneered or varnished. The materials used come from reliable, local suppliers and are of the highest quality, thanks to which they will serve for many years. Waste segregation systems have also been implemented, as well as temperature and light intensity control systems to help save energy. In turn, the surroundings of vivid greenery and calm, subdued colours help concentration and have a positive effect on well-being.
