PwC Service Delivery Center Office in Katowice
Architects from The Design Group designed the interiors of the headquarters of one of the largest companies in the BPO/SSC sector – PwC Service Delivery Center. The office is located on nine floors of the Katowice office building .KTW II by Medusa Group and occupies nearly 13,000 sqm. The interiors combine modernity with an industrial character, regional traditions with its business character.
In the context of the arrangement’s dominant elements associated with Silesian identity, the reception area cannot go unmentioned. Particularly spectacular here is a concrete bas-relief depicting the plan of the Katowice Culture Zone, where the KTW office buildings are located. Alongside it, the architects designed a reception desk finished with brick tiles. On the other side, an openwork wall was placed, made of solid brick. Its design was inspired by the facade of the Main Library in Katowice. Behind it are hidden space for documents and a kitchen area for reception staff.
– The reception zone reflects the style of the entire office in miniature. At the same time it emphasises Silesian identity and the cultural heritage of Katowice. It is modern, elegant, but also cosy. Elements such as brick, a wooden floor, coal-black finished elements, rugs and plants appear here – explains architect Marta Konarska.
