Industrial Yet Cosy: The Xceedance Office in Krakow
The Polish branch of Xceedance is located in Krakow in the High5ive building. This is no ordinary office – on one hand it is modern, and on the other it has a homely, cosy feel. The majority of the employees are young people, and the design was tailored to their preferences. The result: an office that is simultaneously modern, industrial, elegant and colourful.
Industrial Vibes
The industrial style means above all black, metallic elements and wood. The project has all of these in abundance. Plenty of wood appears on the floors, walls and desks. It pairs beautifully with black, which dominates the walls and accessories. The walls are decorated with colourful, soft panels – somewhat reminiscent of bed headboards – which also serve an acoustic function.
Concrete and Glazing
An industrial office calls for two further style signatures. The first is glazing with steel frames in the form of partition walls – they interestingly open up the space and let in more light. The second is concrete, which was used to finish the diagonal supports in the open space.
The space is complemented by colourful wallpapers, thick soft curtains and vibrant wall panels – elements that do not belong to classic industrial style, but make the office simultaneously cosy and elegant.
