Not Just for Work: The Elegant Solutions Rent Coworking Office
The coworking zone was created in the historic Raczyński tenement in Warsaw. Its interiors were designed by the architects from The Design Group studio of Konrad Krusiewicz. The result? An office where not only is it a pleasure to work, but it could equally well serve as an elegant café.
The shared workspace was created for Solutions Rent Coworking at Plac Małachowskiego 2. It was set up in the Raczyński tenement from 1910, which after recent reconstruction regained its former glory. During the reconstruction, the building also gained modern glazing. The combination of old and new that the architects from The Design Group managed to replicate inside. From the very beginning, the design concept was to arrange the rooms so that they would complement the immediate surroundings of the building. This gave rise to the concept of an eclectic office space that, with its elegance, gives a sense of freedom, stimulates creativity and encourages continuous discovery.
The basis of the project is a classic and timeless combination of white, black and grey. We decided to enrich it with bold wall colours in the creative work rooms, diverse fabrics, paintings and rugs – says Konrad Krusiewicz, owner and chief architect of The Design Group.
The designers remembered the historical character of the place. Windows and doors received muntins, and the walls were finished with stucco. This distinguishes this space from other coworking interiors in Warsaw.
The greatest challenge was to design this office in a way that would combine modernity and functionality with the pre-war, elegant tenement structure. I cared deeply about the coherence of the interior and what we see outside the window. Hence the eclectic style mixing many stylistics at once – says Emilia Wójcicka, designer at TDG.
The interior is very well lit. This was achieved thanks to numerous glass panels. This is an advantage because working in natural light is much more pleasant. A very important element of the realisation is the furniture — comfortable and practical, but above all homely and elegant. The interior features design referencing classic craftsmanship with attention to every detail. An additional asset of the interior is the decorations in the form of sculptures, old photo albums, mirrors and candlesticks. All this positively affects the character of the place.
I am most proud of the fact that we managed to create an interior that not only provides ideal working conditions, but above all stylistically transports us to a homely, cosy atmosphere. We paid great attention to details, which define the quality of this exceptional interior – adds Emilia Wójcicka.
This is evident upon entering the office. The bright reception is full of golden elements. The eye is drawn to the reception desk made in the form of a marble block, as well as the furniture and plants. Interestingly, the heart of the office is… a bar! It is a meeting and relaxation spot, but also works well for working in a less formal environment. The Solutions Rent Coworking office has two such spaces — one on each floor. What else? Details! Dressed in diverse seating areas, shelves full of magazines and books, a pool table and a television — they encourage staying longer.
There is no shortage of conference rooms, phone booths, office rooms for one or more people, and open team workspace areas, so everyone will find a place to realise their plans here.
