The Office Is More Than Just an Open Space! Meeting Rooms and Focus Rooms – How to Arrange Them
For years, open spaces have dominated office interior arrangements. They are no longer the open halls crammed with cubicles of old, however. Architects combine open spaces with conference rooms and smaller meeting rooms for more intimate gatherings, quiet focus rooms and phone booths.
TechnipFMC Office in Krakow
In the Krakow TechnipFMC office designed by The Design Group, the second floor serves a representative function. This is where the reception and the event space dedicated to, among other things, town hall meetings are located.
The event space consists of four conference rooms equipped with mobile partition walls that allow for any arrangement of the space, as well as a small warm-up and cool-down zone. This division caters to both personality types: extroverts and introverts. Depending on their predispositions, they can hold small talk over coffee at a convenient moment, for example just before or after a conference or training session – says architect Marta Konarska from The Design Group, responsible for the TechnipFMC office concept.
In the offices, meeting rooms and focus rooms, the ceiling is decorated with cut-and-drawn mesh modules painted black, beneath which installations and mineral wool in the same colour are mounted. The enclosed offices thus meet acoustic requirements. Additionally, this solution is interesting from an aesthetic standpoint, as between the mesh and the slab there remains a sense of space.
