Wood, Cork, Warm Colours: 10 Cosy Offices in Poland

Sterile, almost clinical office interior arrangements are becoming a thing of the past. Offices are becoming increasingly cosy, a climate created by warm colours and natural materials such as wood.

Zendesk Office in Krakow (MK29)

The Warsaw studio The Design Group designed the interiors of the new Zendesk office in the MK29 building located on the Vistula Boulevards in Krakow. Despite the impressive area of over 3,000 sqm, the interiors successfully created a cosy, home-like atmosphere. The spaces are dominated by simple lines, clean geometry and natural materials.

In the finish of the individual zones we find primarily neutral colours, natural wood and wood veneers, wool and numerous plants. The latter make us feel more as if we are in a garden than a closed office space.

The company was very keen for their office spaces to be home-like, natural, yet unforgettable. It could not resemble a traditional, corporate workplace, so even the colour temperature of the light inside is not typical for office interiors – we opted for a warm shade (at 2700 Kelvin intensity). – Alicja Zielińska-Popiela, TDG architect responsible for the concept and interior design of the Zendesk office

OLX Office in Poznań (Maraton)

Architects from The Design Group studio undertook the design of the OLX Group office interiors following its expansion. The client was aware of the need to create a space for employees in which they would feel equally at home as during home office. The office therefore combines ergonomics with home-like cosiness, and modern solutions function alongside comfortable sofas and soft rugs.

The project features many sofas on which one can comfortably sit and work as if in the comfort of home. This atmosphere is underscored by wooden arrangement elements, soft rugs and thick curtains. Pastel colours and plants are also abundant.

200 tonnes – that is the weight of the laminated baffles suspended from the office ceilings. On the one hand, their arrangement dynamised the ceiling design and gave the whole a warmth characteristic of wood. On the other, it provided the space with appropriate acoustics.

Allegro Office in Poznań (Nowy Rynek D)

Last year, Allegro moved into a new office in Poznań, occupying nearly 25,000 sqm in the Nowy Rynek D building. The Allegro office interiors designed by The Design Group combine a home-like, welcoming atmosphere with a modern style. Vertical strips shimmering in shades of green and rusty pink, part of the original building facade, were carried into the interiors. Wooden slats imitating the office building facade can be found on almost every floor of the office.

The terrace design is consistent with the rest of the office – it is home-like, cosy and green, and the circle motif permeates in the form of rounded seating or organic shapes of wooden slats. Adjacent to the terrace is the kitchen zone – bright, complemented by contrasting accessories and warm accents in the form of veneered cladding. Rocking chairs complete the picture.
